So July 22nd went well, and all of the CART events in between the fairfield events went well also. I placed 4th, but I hit a cone. I placed ok at CART, though I didn't get a trophy (and I can't remember my exact placement). My times are consistently .5 second behind Matt's STi. I have decided that if I'm going to move ahead, I need to ditch these ridiculous shocks. Maybe its not the shocks, and I'm hitting the throttle too hard? I do make a lot of wheel spin. I guess I'll just keep practicing, though the boss handed me a bonus this week that obviously needs to be blown on car parts.
I did drive Henry's BSP Evo and on my 2nd fun-run nailed a time near FTD. How? I don't know what I'm doing well, but something about my driving comes out in an Evo. Is the Camaro a really good teaching tool, and am I really outgrowing the stock shocks? Maybe its just luck. Maybe though, if I had an Evo, I'd do well consistently? That would be nice..
We'll see what these new shocks do for my times.. time to call Bishop..
