I love my SS, but like I said before, I wasn't planning on f-body #2, and a few things annoy the heck out of me about it. Mainly, the solid axle and the soft shocks. If you aren't completely smooth through the autocross corners, you're toast. I guess its time to upgrade the shocks to those adjustable Koni's.
So like the article on the main blog says, I had a good day on June 23rd. A disastrous morning turned into a good, good day thanks to Gus (PSG EVO). What is this thing called an Evo? Why is it so fast? My SS is sickly fast in a straight line, but these AWD go-karts kick serious butt in the corners. I guess by always driving tail-happy cars, from my 1st 1988 Volvo 240DL all the way through my RWD muscle cars, I learned the consequences of not being smooth on the throttle; these sensitive cars force you to plan ahead, have 'slow hands,' and be smooth on the gas and brake. But when you hop into a car so incredibly fast in the corners like an Evo after driving ass-happy cars all the time - you're prepared well for it. I hope I can repeat this and not lose what these RWD cars have taught me.
Man, what a sweet car Gus's Evo is.
